Denise Wellbrock Ayers has an MFA from Clemson University and a BFA from Northern Kentucky University. Her work has been exhibited in places such as The Cincinnati Art Museum, Art Academy of Cincinnati, Manifest Gallery, and at the 10th Annual Drawing Discourse Exhibition in Asheville, NC. Denise has received multiple awards and scholarships during her undergrad and graduate studies and beyond as a practicing artist. Most recently Denise was honored with an Award of Excellence for her piece "A Tally per Blue Scar" as a part of the 2020 Artist of the Upstate Juried Exhibition. Denise is the 2022-2023 Visiting Assistant Professor in Painting at Northern Kentucky University. She currently resides in Kentucky with her husband, son, and two cats.
